The problem is we lose shape too easily with a back four. Cresswell is left back but Antonio isn't right back and it becomes a lopsided mess.
Back three makes us much more solid because Cresswell isn't playing two positions. Cresswell and Antonio can drop back if needed but they don't have to, like Cresswell does in a back 4 and then we have no out on the left.

With fonte and van dijk gone, it'll be interesting to see what their defence will be like now.
Key things will be keeping shape and closing down space but also getting bodies in and around Carroll. He's so isolated when we play poorly it makes him worthless
